Rachael Scott.

How long have you been working in early education?

14 years in the childcare industry and I was a swimming teacher for 5 years prior to that.

What is your favourite part of working at the centre?

I love meeting new families and the satisfaction I receive watching children grow and change over the years then head off to school.

What qualifications do you hold?

Diploma of Community Services.

What are you most passionate about?

I’m extremely passionate about my service as I have worked here for 10 years. I’m proud of my educators and the quality of care we provide to our families for their children.

What inspired you to become an educator?

I firstly became an educator as I was extremely passionate about caring for young children and watching them grow, providing safe and nurturing spaces for them to grow and develop into beautiful little children.

What values are most important to you in your team members?

What I value most amongst my team members is honestly, loyalty, reliability and trust.  Due to this I pride myself on having very minimal staff turnover which I believe is a great asset to our service. We have many educators who have been here for 8, 9 and 10 years.

What message would you like to tell parents considering your centre?

As a parent of 2 young children who attend my service, I would like to express how well trained, dedicated and professional my educators are. They will always put the children’s needs first, embracing their individuality and providing a very high quality of care to all children who attend.  We pride ourselves on providing continuity of educators throughout our service, and this is evident through the children and how settled they are throughout their days with us.
