Your children will be encouraged to learn through programs based around the Early Years Learning Framework by our team of experienced and qualified early childhood educators including a specialised Kindergarten/Preschool program which covers a range of subjects with an aim to prepare our children socially and emotionally for their school years and beyond. Our centre is the perfect place for your children to learn and grow and to ensure your child is supported for their transition to school every step of the way.
Extracurricular activities to extend learning
The children enjoy extracurricular activities such as Japanese, cooking and yoga. There is even a stand alone art space for the children to use when they’re feeling creative.
Children are also taken on trips to the local supermarket and to local parks. For the older children, more trips are offered, to extend on their learning and build connections in the local community. The centre also welcomes special guests throughout the year, such as cultural programs, animal experiences and performances.
We also offer a sustainability program and a vegetable garden to teaches children how to grow food and care for the planet.
We proudly provide flexible hours (9-hour, 10-hour or full-day sessions) to allow families to make the most out of their Child Care Subsidy.

Meet the Centre Manager – Maria Mojaled
I began my career in early childhood education in 1997, and I started at The Learning Sanctuary Malvern East in 2021. I hold a Diploma in Children Services and a Diploma in Leadership and Management. I have also been a food safety supervisor, a senior first aid officer, and completed the Child Protection program.
I have learnt that children can reach their full potential when provided an environment of care, respect, encouragement and safe space to feel nurtured and educated. This guides my teaching style, and I believe that all families, children and educators have an important role in helping to provide opportunities to learn.
My passion and approach to helping children on their learning and life journey is by truly believing that it takes a village to raise a child by building a community around the child’s learning and environment, children will believe in themselves, flourish and grow.
The benefits of dedicated early childhood education are the opportunity to connect with and build long-lasting relationships with the local community. Children will also develop a sense of belonging through a nurturing environment that encourages and scaffolds their learning, which can be achieved while attending care. With dedicated educators, children can be extended in their learning and have opportunities to explore their curiosity through the curriculum on offer.
The team I work alongside at The Learning Sanctuary Malvern East will inspire children’s minds in a safe, nurturing environment.
I will support my families by offering quality team, education and care. I will create a respectful and supportive community where we can grow as a team together. I will meet each family and get to know what is important to their families in the centre environment, educationally and culturally.
