Stamping fun with Celery

This fun craft activity involves something that you probably have already in your fridge. Yes, that’s right it’s celery! After cutting off the stalks for a snack, the head of the celery can be turned into a stamp in a couple of easy steps. Children of all ages will love this activity!

Materials needed

  • 1 bunch of celery
  • Paper
  • Coloured paints
  • Paintbrushes
  • Knife


  1. Take your bunch of celery and cut off the stalks leaving the base about 7-10 centimetres
  2. Press the celery head into the paint, making sure it is evenly covered, then stamp it on to your paper
  3. Once you have your desired about of flowers stamped, stems and leaves can be added to the flowers


  • To add some sparkle to your flowers, glitter can be added to the paint before it dries
